Adi Liliane Olie, representing Fanga ‘i he Sī, claimed the title of Miss Ha’apai Masani 2025 at the Ha’apai Masani Heilala Festival finale yesterday evening in Pangai. She also secured awards for Best in Talent and Best Sarong Wear, edging out four fellow finalists.
The festival, part of the Ha’apai Masani Heilala Festival week, welcomed five contestants this year, including representatives from Ha’apai Tourism and Lucky Pot Restaurant. Events featured a float parade and stage interviews, with the grand finale held at Ma‘ama ‘o Mamani Hall.
Miss Olie’s victory grants her the honour of representing the Ha’apai Islands at the upcoming Miss Heilala pageant, scheduled to start at the end of this month in Nuku‘alofa. Her compelling performances in talent and traditional wear suggest a strong showing ahead.
The festival was described “a vibrant celebration of Ha’apai culture and youth empowerment”.
Miss Olie is currently preparing for her appearance at the Miss Heilala pageant. Organisers have confirmed the event will run from 27 June to 4 July, with contestants engaging in community outreach and cultural showcases ahead of the final coronation night.
