The Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy Hospital Ship “Ark Peace” will visit Tonga from Friday, July 28 to Friday, August 4, 2023. The ship is on a mission to provide free medical services to the people of Tonga and to enhance military exchanges with His Majesty’s Armed Forces.
The Ark Peace is a large hospital ship that is capable of providing a wide range of medical services, including surgery, radiology, and laboratory testing. The ship’s medical team is made up of over 100 doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals.
During its visit to Tonga, the Ark Peace will be providing free medical services at village health centers throughout the country. The ship will also be sending a medical team to visit primary and secondary schools to provide educational exchanges.
In addition to providing medical services, the Ark Peace’s visit will also provide an opportunity for military exchanges between China and Tonga. The ship’s commanding officers will be meeting with high-level government officials and military leaders from Tonga.
