Christ’s University in the Pacific marked a historic milestone on Thursday, December 12, 2024, with its 20th Anniversary celebration and the graduation of 104 students.
The event took place at Lavengamalie Hall and was graced by the presence of His Majesty King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau’u, who served as the guests of honor.
As Chancellor of the University, His Majesty King Tupou VI presented the certificates, diplomas, and degrees to the graduates, acknowledging their hard work and accomplishments.
The ceremony also featured special recognition awards, including one to Emeritus Professor ‘Ana Maui Taufe’ulungaki for her contributions to education in Tonga.

A one-minute silence was observed in memory of Dr. Ana Taufe’ulungaki, who passed away last month.
Reverend Dr. ‘Ahio was also honored for his significant contribution to religious development in Tonga, further reflecting the diverse contributions to the country’s progress.
Professor Brian Cusack is the new Pro Vice-Chancellor of Research Affairs, taking over from Dr. Taufe’ulungaki.
