Tonga Police’s Drug Squad conducted multiple raids on March 7, arresting four individuals and seizing drugs, firearms, and cash.
In Houma, intelligence-led operations resulted in the arrests of a 54-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman. Authorities seized 40 packs of cannabis weighing 674.54 grams, an M6 rifle, seven live bullets, and TOP$237 in cash.
In Fua’amotu, a 51-year-old man was arrested. Officers confiscated 35 packs of cannabis weighing 11.46 grams and TOP$27 in cash.
The same day, a 38-year-old man from Ngele’ia was detained for possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia. Seized items included cannabis leaves and seeds totaling 0.39 grams, along with drug utensils.
All suspects are in police custody as investigations continue.
