A 74-year-old man was discovered dead in his Masilamea residence last Thursday, 1 May.
Tonga Police confirmed that officers responded to a report and found the man had died at his home. Neighbours last saw him on 27 March.
“Vaiola Hospital confirmed that the deceased had passed more than 48 hours prior to discovery. Tonga Police received the medical report confirming the cause of death was cardiac arrest,” police stated.
The man’s body was released to his family for burial.
