The bridge connecting ‘Ohonua and Ta’anga in ‘Eua has reopened to traffic after repairs by the Ministry of Infrastructure (MOI).
The bridge, thought to have been built in the 1960s, was closed on Monday evening due to heavy flooding.
MOI workers acted quickly to fix the damage, and vehicles can now travel across safely.
Despite the reopening, the Fua’amotu Weather Forecasting Centre has warned that more rain is expected in the coming days.
Commuters are urged to remain cautious and stay updated on weather conditions.
