The Ha’apai Masani Heilala Festival 2025 officially commenced this week with the first public appearance of the five Miss Ha’apai Masani candidates.
They joined Miss Fipe Latai Finau at a Free Wesleyan Church service in Pangai, Lifuka, marking the start of festival celebrations.
The pageant line-up includes: Miss Ha’apai Tourism Unaloto Fa’aui; Miss Fanga ‘i he Sī Adi Liliana Olie; Miss Lucky Pot Restaurant Elisiva Halatokoua; Miss Kahu Event & Planner Lesile Fakahua; and Miss DEW Samaritan Group Uini Grace Nau.
All contestants will vie for the esteemed Miss Ha’apai Masani 2025 title, with the winner advancing to represent Ha’apai at next month’s Miss Heilala Pageant in Tonga’s capital.
The Miss Heilala contest is among Tonga’s most prestigious cultural events, showcasing the nation’s heritage and community spirit.
Pangai, the administrative hub of Ha’apai, provided a fitting backdrop for the service, drawing locals and visitors to support the entrants.
Expect a series of public appearances, cultural showcases, and a formal final judgment to take place this Friday, 20 June and the crowning of the 2025–2026 queen.
