The Tonga Police Drug Enforcement Taskforce conducted a series of coordinated operations between 23 and 25 December 2024, resulting in multiple arrests linked to illicit drug activities.
Men aged between 19 and 42 were taken into custody during the raids, which targeted various locations across the country.
Police seized over TOP $3,000 in cash, illegal drugs, and drug-related paraphernalia.
Tonga Police confirmed in a statement that investigations are ongoing and stressed the importance of community involvement.
“We urge the public to report any illicit drug-related activities or suspicious behavior to the nearest Police Station,” the statement read.
The operations are part of the Police’s continued efforts to combat drug supply and possession, ensuring the safety and security of Tongan communities.
