Franz Koenig Tu’uhetoka has been appointed CEO of Tonga’s Public Service Commission (PSC), starting a four-year term today.
Mr. Tu’uhetoka signed his contract this afternoon, officially assuming his new role. He took his oath before Prime Minister Dr. ‘Aisake Valu Eke, who also serves as Minister for the PSC.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Tu’uhetoka’s family and PSC representatives.
With over two decades of service to the PSC, Mr. Tu’uhetoka brings extensive experience and a deep understanding of the Commission’s operations to his new role.
Prior to his appointment, he served as Deputy CEO for Remuneration and Corporate Governance.
In his previous capacity, Mr. Tu’uhetoka played a key role in policy development and workforce management. His leadership contributed to the implementation of key initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of Tonga’s public service.
As CEO, Mr. Tu’uhetoka is expected to continue his commitment to public service excellence, building on his extensive experience within the PSC.
