The Ministry of Trade and Economic Development has announced an increase in petroleum prices for December, effective Tuesday, December 3, 2024.
The Tonga Competent Authority (TCA) approved the new rates, reflecting changes in global market conditions.
In Tongatapu, retail prices have risen to:
- Petrol: $3.25 per litre
- Kerosene: $2.40 per litre
- Diesel: $3.15 per litre
The new rates align with Tonga’s regular monthly reviews of petroleum pricing, aimed at maintaining a balance between market trends and consumer affordability.
