Heavy rain did not deter Her Majesty Queen Nanasipauʻu from visiting the China Aid Agro-Tech team in Vava’u on Tuesday. The team, dedicated to agricultural development, expressed their gratitude and humility at the royal visit.

The Queen’s presence highlighted the importance of the turmeric processing phase of the project, which was launched in September. The initiative, spearheaded by Her Majesty, aims to promote healthy living and explore the medicinal benefits of turmeric.
The China Aid Agro-Tech project represents a collaboration between Tonga and China, focusing on advancing sustainable agriculture in the Kingdom.

“This project showcases the potential of agricultural innovation to improve health and well-being for the people of Tonga,” a team representative said.

Despite the downpour, the Queen’s visit was a significant moment for the team, who are committed to delivering long-term benefits for the Tongan community.
