Her Majesty Queen Nanasipau’u Tuku’aho, an alumna of Queen Salote College, led the commemoration service today at the Free Wesleyan Centenary Church in Nuku’alofa marking the institution’s 99th anniversary.
The service brought together students, alumni, and dignitaries in a solemn tribute to the school’s legacy.

Following the service, the annual general meeting of former students took place, reinforcing the bond between generations of graduates.
A royal luncheon concluded the festivities, featuring entertainment that celebrated Tongan culture.
Distinguished guests included King Tupou VI, members of the royal household, Prime Minister Dr. Hon. Aisake Eke, and representatives from the diplomatic corps.

Queen Salote College, founded on January 15, 1923, officially started counting its anniversaries from 1926. The celebration date was later moved to March 13 to align with the birthday of Her late Majesty Queen Salote Tupou III.

With about 800 students enrolled today, the college continues to uphold its legacy of academic excellence and leadership, preparing for its centennial milestone next year.
