A 38-year-old man from Sopu has been arrested and charged with housebreaking and arson following an incident in Longolongo, according to Tonga Police.

Emergency services were alerted to a fire at the Free Wesleyan Church building shortly before midday on Sunday.
The property. which was deliberately set on fire, is understood to be the residence of the church minister serving the Longolongo congregation.
Authorities reported valuable Tongan mats being stolen from the same house.
Police said they’re investigating other individuals who are suspected to be linked to this incident.
Investigations are ongoing.
