The FBI is investigating a Tesla Cybertruck explosion that killed one person and injured seven outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on New Year’s Day.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:40 a.m. in the hotel’s valet area. Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill stated, “The Cybertruck drove up to the front entrance when smoke started showing and there was an explosion.”
The identity of the deceased driver has not been released, and the cause of the explosion remains unknown. Authorities expect to share more details within 24-48 hours.
Survivors sustained minor injuries, while some hotel guests were relocated to Resorts World Las Vegas, according to NBC-3.
McMahill assured the public there is no ongoing threat but noted heightened precautions due to a recent terrorist attack in New Orleans.
Investigations are ongoing, with federal and local authorities working to determine the cause of the explosion.
