Tongan forward Natasha Penitani signs three‑year deal with Gold Coast Titans from Wests Tigers.
Gold Coast has bolstered its NRLW forward pack by securing 25‑year‑old Tonga international Natasha Penitani on a three‑year contract, effective immediately.
Penitani made her NRLW debut for Wests Tigers in 2024, following standout performances for Tonga at the Pacific Championships alongside her sister Tiana Penitani Gray.
Titans coach Karyn Murphy praised the signing: “We’re really fortunate to have a player like Natasha join our squad for the next three seasons and be available to join us immediately,” adding her ability to play “anywhere in the middle or on the edge” brings valuable versatility.
Murphy said she’s been impressed by Penitani’s strong running, agility and ball‑playing skills, citing her time at Wests Tigers and in international competition as reasons she’s a “big acquisition” ahead of the season.
The addition enhances a squad already featuring experienced campaigners and reaffirms the Titans’ ambition as the NRLW season expands to 12 teams, running from 3 July to 5 October.
Penitani’s move immediately strengthens the middle and edge options. Her debut in Titans colours is expected in the season opener, with fans now anticipating her impact both on and off the field as the Titans prepare for a competitive 2025 NRLW campaign.
