Tonga made a powerful impression at the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, running from November 5 to 10, 2024.
This prestigious global trade event brought together nations and businesses to explore new markets and foster partnerships.
Representing Tonga were artisans Siaola Tangifua and Christopher Malani, alongside Fononga Veikoso from the Ministry of Trade and Economic Development. Their focus was showcasing Tonga’s traditional handmade crafts, demonstrating Tonga’s rich cultural heritage.
Speaking on the importance of such platforms, the delegation highlighted their goal of introducing Tongan products to a global audience and capturing the attention of international buyers.
