The Anti-Corruption Commissioner’s Office, today, joined global celebrations of International Anti-Corruption Day under the theme: “Uniting with Youth Against Corruption: Shaping Tomorrow’s Integrity.”
This year’s observance emphasized the role of young people in combating corruption. With 1.9 billion youth worldwide, the Commissioner’s Office highlighted the necessity of their involvement.
“We must actively listen to youth, as their ideas today may hold the key to the best solutions for combating corruption and strengthening integrity tomorrow,” the office said in a statement.

The initiative calls for young people to have a seat at the table and contribute their innovative ideas.
“By empowering youth to actively engage and help lead future anti-corruption efforts, we can create lasting change,” the statement added.
The Anti-Corruption Commissioner encouraged everyone to participate in fostering a corruption-free society.
International Anti-Corruption Day has been observed annually on 9 December since the passage of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption on 31 October 2003 to raise public awareness for anti-corruption.
