Tonga Police are appealing for public assistance to locate 20-year-old Kasi Tukuhaukava, who failed to appear in court on theft charges.
Tukuhaukava, from Fangaloto, is wanted in connection with alleged housebreaking and theft offences. Authorities have issued a public notice urging anyone with information to report it to the nearest police station or call 922.
“While Tonga Police are continuing with their search for the suspect, we are requesting the public for their cooperation in [locating] the whereabouts of the mentioned suspect,” the ministry stated in a media release.
A photograph of Tukuhaukava has been released to aid in his identification. The suspect remains at large as police intensify their search efforts.
