Tonga Police have intensified patrols with road checkpoints this week to ensure public safety during the holiday season.
In a statement, police urged residents to prioritize safe driving and avoid drinking and driving. “Drive safely and avoid drinking and driving,” the statement emphasized.
Shoppers were also advised to remain vigilant against scams and theft. “Be alert of scams and thievery when shopping,” the police cautioned.
Residents are encouraged to check Christmas lights to prevent electrical accidents, secure their homes, and lock doors to deter break-ins.
