Tonga will send 33 athletes to the Palau Pacific Mini Games from 29 June to 9 July.
The Tonga Sports Association & National Olympic Committee (TASANOC) has confirmed Tonga’s participation, with competitors in archery, athletics, basketball, beach volleyball, table tennis, swimming and weightlifting. A delegation of officials will accompany the team, including TASANOC Secretary‑General Netina Latu, Chef de Mission Pataleone Vi, Team Doctor Pafilio Tangitau and trainer Kit Aisea.

The archery squad, led by Hekisou Fifita with coach Hans Jensen, departed Tonga yesterday to be first into Palau. In total, a 48‑strong group comprising athletes, technical staff and officials will represent the nation.
Palau is hosting the largest Pacific Mini Games to date, with 24 nations and over 2,000 athletes expected. Housing arrangements is expected to see Team Tonga staying in Aimeliik at Lower Maris Stella School, one of several “sister‑state” accommodations organised via the host’s community partnerships.
TASANOC held final team screenings and selection meetings in Nuku‘alofa in recent days to finalise preparations. Athletes have undergone fitness checks and logistics briefings ahead of departure.
With the archery team already en route, the remainder of Team Tonga is scheduled to arrive in time for opening ceremonies on 29 June, ahead of competition beginning the same day.
