Three international title fights are scheduled for October 26 as part of the South Pacific Boxing Promotion event in Nadi. Boxing promoter Freddy Chand confirmed the line-up during the event’s launch in Suva last week.
Among the key matchups is Tongan boxer Tonga Tongotongo, who will compete against Fiji’s Sebastian “The Sniper” Singh for the IBO Asia Pacific Cruiserweight title.
Chand emphasized the significance of this event for the development of boxing in Fiji and the Pacific region. “We hope to inspire other promoters to bring more international boxers to Fiji,” he said, encouraging sponsorship from local businesses to support the sport’s growth.
Other notable fights include Winston Hill facing Australia’s Lachlan O’Shea for the IBO Asia Pacific Super Welterweight title and Ubayd Haider taking on China’s Runqi Zhou for the IDO Asia Pacific Featherweight title.
The event will take place at King Charles Park in Nadi.
