Tonga has made a significant impact at ITB Berlin 2025, engaging in 50 productive meetings over the first two days.
The delegation, led by Mr. Fotuika Vailea from the Tonga Tourism Authority and Mr. Poli Toma Sakalia of Jones Travel Limited, connected with travel agents, technology firms, and market representatives to promote Tonga as a premier global destination.
On the first day, the team held meetings with industry professionals, including travel agents and technology companies, to discuss strategies for attracting international travelers. The second day saw another over 20 more meetings with tour operators, data companies, and event organizers from Europe and beyond, further elevating Tonga’s visibility.
Tonga’s participation aligns with ITB Berlin’s emphasis on sustainable tourism and social responsibility. The event, running from March 4 to 6, features over 80 exhibitors from 26 countries in the Responsible Tourism segment, highlighting innovative solutions and certified concepts.
By the closing of the event yesterday, the Tongan delegation had forged meaningful connections and showcased Tonga’s unique offerings in the industry’s commitment to sustainable tourism and its readiness to welcome travelers worldwide.
