The Tonga Meteorological Service has issued an advisory on Tropical Disturbance TD03F, located at latitude 12.7 south and longitude 173.1 west, approximately 420km northeast of Niuafo‘ou and 370km north-northeast of Niuatoputapu as of 6:00pm Sunday.
The system’s potential to develop into a tropical cyclone within 24 to 48 hours is rated low to moderate. While it poses no immediate threat to Tonga, residents are urged to stay informed.

A heavy rain warning and flash flood advisory remain in effect for the Niuas, Vava‘u, and Ha‘apai.
An active trough is causing heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms in these areas, with possible flooding in low-lying regions.
For Tongatapu and ‘Eua, conditions are mainly fine with scattered showers. Light winds are expected across the country.
The Meteorological Service advises caution as weather conditions may change rapidly.
