President-elect Donald Trump’s administration is set to begin widespread deportations on the first full day of his presidency, sources confirm.
Operations targeting migrants without permission, especially in “sanctuary” cities like Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles, could start as soon as Tuesday.
Tom Homan, Trump’s “border tsar,” emphasized the raids would be “well planned” and focused on criminals and gang members.
Homan foresees deportation flights starting in the first week of Trump’s term.
Support for the crackdown remains high, with a New York Times poll showing 55% of Americans backing mass deportations.
Officials are also preparing for challenges from civil rights organizations, including daily lawsuits from groups like the ACLU.
Despite potential legal obstacles, Homan remains resolute, saying, “Bring it.”
