Tupou College celebrated its 159th anniversary yesterday with the launch of a new digital learning centre, marking a significant step in modernizing education at the historic institution.
The digital learning centre, housed in the Taufa’ahau Tupou IV building, is an initiative led by the Laka Atu Ki Mu’a Moe ‘Unga ex-students group.

The group’s patron, Crown Prince HRH Tupouto’a ‘Ulukalala, was among the former students who spearheaded the project.
Her Majesty Queen Nanasipau’u attended as the guest of honour at the thanksgiving service.
The celebration began with a prayer service at the Moulton Chapel, led by Free Wesleyan Church President Rev. Dr. Tevita Havea. This was followed by the ex-students’ annual general meeting and a royal luncheon.

Among the dignitaries present were Prime Minister Dr. ‘Aisake Eke, himself a former student of Tupou College, along with several cabinet ministers.
The launch of the digital learning centre reflects the school’s commitment to equipping students with modern educational tools while maintaining its rich traditions.
