Recent figures as at 7 May 2021:
16,683 people have been vaccinated to date
912 people on average are being vaccinated daily
60% of the vaccination batch (28,000 doses) has been used with ZERO WASTAGE reported
Vaccination teams:
The Ministry has 8 teams working on the vaccine rollout; there are 5 larger teams of 14-16 staff and 3 small teams (3 mobile teams and 1 stationed at Vaiola NCD centre)
A total of 150 staff are dedicated to the national vaccination rollout
Registration:
17,686 people have been registered to date
Adverse reactions:
To date, no extreme allergic reactions have been reported
Vaccination schedules for next week Monday 10 May – Tuesday 11 May:
Queen Salote Memorial Hall – available to Kolofo’ou eligible population and others in the Nuku’alofa area
NCD Centre, Vaiola Hospital – available to all who are eligible
Kolotolu Hall, Hala’ovave – for the Kolomotu’a eligible population
Joseph Hall, Ma’ufanga – for the Ma’ufanga eligible population
The Ministry is working to confirm a 5th site and when that is ready, I will also share with you all.
