Luciane Buchanan, the Kiwi-Tongan actress known for her role as Rose Larkin in Netflix’s The Night Agent, has captured attention with her powerful on-screen chemistry with co-star Gabriel Basso.
Following the series’ record-breaking success, Buchanan’s portrayal of Rose, a key love interest, garnered praise, even from Stephen King.
Although season 3 is already in production, Buchanan’s future on the show remains uncertain. “I have no idea, and I can’t spoil anything,” she said about a potential return, hinting that her character may not stay away from Peter.
A graduate of the University of Auckland with a degree in drama and psychology, Buchanan has expressed pride in her Tongan heritage, describing herself as “a young educated Tongan woman that gets to live the way I want.”
Despite her rising fame, she remains grateful for the opportunity to play Rose, reflecting on her journey as “forever grateful” for being chosen by the show’s creators.
