Shocking evidence is emerging from Australia and New Zealand of how the climate scam is being used to impose a techno-totalitarian smart-city future. The criminocratic global imperialists often use their Commonwealth colonies to try out the most insidious escalations of their tyranny – think of Canada, New Zealand and Australia during Covid. We can therefore assume that this is going to be the blueprint for the roll-out of their Fourth Industrial Revolution agenda across the world. The sinister scheme in question, called “Managed Retreat”, has been exposed by independent researcher Kate Mason on her excellent Substack blog aimed at “deconstructing…

Pacific Journalism Review (PJR) began life three decades ago in Papua New Guinea and recently celebrated a remarkable milestone in Fiji with its 30th anniversary edition and its 47th issue. Remarkable because it is the longest surviving media, journalism and development journal published in the Global South. It is also remarkable because at its birthday event held in early July at the Pacific International Media Conference, no fewer than two cabinet ministers were present — from Fiji and Papua New Guinea — in spite of the journal’s long track record of truth-to-power criticism. Fiji’s Deputy Prime Minister Biman Prasad, a…

Nineteen-year-old Tongan sprinter Maleselo Fukofuka made his Olympic debut in the men’s 100m preliminary round at the Paris Olympics, running a personal best time of 12.11 seconds in heat 5. Despite his efforts, Fukofuka placed eighth in his heat and did not advance to the next round, as only the first two in each heat and the next four fastest runners qualify for Round 1. Earlier this year, Fukofuka ran a time of 12.57 seconds at the Oceania Athletics Championships, where he also finished eighth. His performance in Paris ranked him 45th out of 45 competitors in the preliminary round.…
Donald Trump has insisted he would step down as president if he were to suffer health problems after being reelected. The Republican presidential nominee made the pledge on Wednesday at a conference for the National Association of Black Journalists in Chicago. A participant in the panel interview noted that if Trump wins the US presidential election this November, he will still be in power at the age of 82 – which is older than incumbent President Joe Biden. Trump was then asked if he would consider stepping down, were his health to decline while in office. “Absolutely!” Trump responded, stressing…
A recession warning for the US has been issued after global stocks dropped sharply, sparking fears of an economic collapse. This anxiety has been fueled by the Federal Reserve’s decision not to cut interest rates earlier this week, raising concerns among analysts that the central bank might have acted too late. On Thursday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell nearly 500 points, dipping 494.82 points, or 1.21%, to end at 40,347.97. This drop comes as US unemployment rose to 4.3%, the highest since October 2021. Additionally, the US economy added only 114,000 jobs in July, significantly below the 175,000 jobs…
Women’s boxing is facing controversy at the Paris Olympics due to the participation of two athletes, Imane Khelif of Algeria and Lin Yu-ting of Taiwan, who have previously failed gender eligibility tests. Both athletes, who have long competed as ‘women’, were disqualified from the 2023 Women’s World Championships by the International Boxing Association (IBA) for failing to meet “eligibility rules.” The IBA, no longer governing Olympic boxing, claimed that Khelif and Lin had “XY chromosomes,” which are typically associated with males, although medical conditions like polycystic ovary syndrome can cause similar results. The IBA did not conduct testosterone tests but…
The Tonga Statistics Department, in partnership with UNICEF, completed the Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys Round 7 (MICS7) Data Processing Workshop last week. This workshop, which included participants from various Pacific islands, aimed to strengthening regional statistical capabilities. The Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS) provides important data on health, nutrition, education, and more, informing policies to support the most vulnerable populations. MICS is the largest source of statistically sound and internationally comparable data on women and children worldwide. Opening the event, Australian High Commissioner to Tonga, H.E. Brek Batley, highlighted the necessity of accurate data for effective policy-making. The workshop included…
