A medical team from China has completed a 12-day health mission in Vava’u, providing free consultations, surgeries, and health check-ups.
The team, consisting of six specialists, arrived on November 19 and worked at Prince Ngu Hospital, where they performed six surgeries.
Team Leader Dr. Luke emphasized the importance of their work, stating that “good health always comes first.”

The team offered services in gynecology, medicine, plastic surgery, and routine examinations, including blood sugar testing, blood pressure monitoring, and ultrasounds.
The team’s efforts extended beyond the hospital, with free medical check-ups provided for staff at Ha’alefo Prison, the Tonga Military, the China-Tonga Agro-Tech Assistance Project, and local Chinese residents.

“Entering Vava’u to know her beauty and connect with the people here, you can truly feel the kindness of the heart,” said a team member.
The mission highlighted China’s ongoing commitment to supporting Tonga’s healthcare needs.
