Tonga Health has unveiled new infrastructure to enhance its efforts against non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
The project, funded by Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) Charities, includes a conference room, office spaces, bathrooms, and storage areas. These additions aim to strengthen Tonga Health’s capacity to promote healthy lifestyles across the Kingdom.
Elder Sione Tui’one, representing the LDS, said, “We are honoured to partner with Tonga Health in our shared mission to uplift and improve health outcomes for the people of Tonga.”
Tonga Health CEO, ‘Ofeina Filimoehala expressed gratitude on behalf of her team.
The new facilities are expected to play a key role in Tonga Health’s initiatives to combat NCDs, which are a leading cause of mortality in the region.
This collaboration reflects a broader effort to enhance health infrastructure and services in Tonga, contributing to the well-being of its citizens.
